Here’s How It Works
Traditionally, when sellers list their home they offer to pay a percentage of the selling price to the agent who lists the home as well as the agent who represents the buyer. Since this percentage is negotiable between the seller and the listing agent, we will use, as an example, a percentage of 3% to each agent, for total of 6% on the transaction. Ehomesusa would keep 1/2 of the commission = $4,500 Ehomesusa would give YOU the remaining 1/2 balance = $4,500 Another example would be if you located and purchased a home that sold to you for $180,000 using an Ehomesusa Agent. Assuming the seller was offering the buyers agent, in this case, YOUR Ehomesusa agent, 3%, the commission paid by the seller would be $5,400. Ehomesusa keeps the minimum = $3,000 Ehomesusa rebates YOU the balance = $2,400 You should consult with your tax attorney for the most recent updates to the IRS Code, to determine if this is taxable income. You could, if you chose, use this money as your partial down payment or to pay your closing costs. It would appear on the HUD 1 as your expected money at closing.
